Influenced by global climate changes, some provinces and regions in southern China have been attacked by serious snowstorms this winter. Transportation and electric power have been badly damaged. Central government attaches great importance and concern to these issues, and has taken a series of effective measures for emergency relief.
To ensure the productivity and livelihood of the victims, and assist the government in relief work, CCF starts the anti-snowstorm activity and encourages public donations. CCF also calls on its members all around the nation to assist local governments and accept local donations. To raise public awareness towards the snowstorm relief, a performance titled " Gather Everyone's Love" was held on February 2nd in the Beijing Theater. It was telecast by CCTV. More than 100 famous stars attended the performance, and 34 million yuan were collected during the performance.
With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the Chinese people are united and determined to conquer this snowstorm that is the most serious one in the last 50 years.
