To insure a happy Chinese Spring Festival for people in difficulty, CCF launched a large-scale public activity ” Sending Warmth to Households” in seven provinces and called on its unit members for assisting the implementation in January 2008.
Led by President Fan Baojun, the group was divided into seven units, and went to Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and other provinces separately. This activity distributed 800,000 yuan, 2050 down-filled jackets, and medical equipment worthy 900,000. The mission went to the nursing homes and houses of the people in difficulty, and sent them the society’s concern and love for them.
People who got help were deeply moved, and expressed their appreciations towards the donors and CCF. They said, they would work harder and reward the society in the future.
At the call of CCF, many local charity federations took part in the activity, and sent festival presents to those in need. As the incomplete statistics show, 320 million yuan have been distributed, and thousands of people have been relieved by the activity throughout the country.
