Programs for orphans include the Caring Orphans and Orphans Growing Fund. China Charity Federation (CCF) also helps rebuild welfare institutions for orphans; gives donations to equip children’s welfare institutions in indigent areas with residence, medical, study, and rehabilitation facilities; and helps orphans finish nine years of compulsory education.

Orphans Charity Project
The Orphans Charity Project was launched by CCF in Feburary, 2002. It is a large- scale charity project serving more than one million orphans in China. The goals of the project are to assist in the process of socialization of orphans, and to communicate to the whole society the importance of caring for orphans and giving them a happy childhood. The project is carried out by directional and non-directional donations for building and improving these welfare institutions. After several years’ experience, this has grown into one of the more mature projects in CCF.

From the beginning this project has raised much interest and participation. During the last year, the Orphans Charity Project has received donations of more than $1,315,790.00 from domestic sources, and more than $1,315,790.00 from international institutions. With these donations, the Orphans Charity Project has improved the living and studying conditions for orphans generally, set up Charity Computer Classes at more than ten children’s welfare institutions, and has helped more than 15,000 orphans with their living and study. This project is being carried out in more than twenty provinces in China, and has achieved excellent results.

American Mothers Association Orphan Program
   In 2000, the American Mothers Association established a cooperative program with CCF to provide aid to orphans in Lijiang and Yunnan Provinces. In 2002, the Association donated 1,235,219.78 RMB mainly for learning and living expenses of the orphans in Huaping Childrens’ Home in Yunnan Province. The American Mothers Association continues to cooperate with the China Charity Federation providing an additional $162,522.55 as of August 20, 2007.

Grace Children's Foundation
With the cooperation of UNICEF spokesperson the cooperation between CCF and the Grace Children's Foundation was established in 1999. Grace Children's Foundation, which was registered in America, devoted itself into aiding the orphans and children's welfare institutions in China. In the last years, CCF has received donated clothes and living goods worth $605,860. 54, which have been allocated to more than 10 children's welfare institutions in Anhui, Hubei, Jilin and other provinces. Dressed in new clothes from the other side of the ocean, childern in the welfare institutions  are deeply influenced by the love from American friends. CCF will contiue to cooperate with the Grace Children's Foundation, and help more orphans in future.

UNICEF
   China Charity Federation joined with UNICEF in 1999 to make a long-term commitment to provide assistance China's handicapped children in the orphanages. In recent years, the Federation has accepted UNICEF donations of $605,860.00. Each child in more than 10 children's welfare homes in Anhui, Hubei, Jilin, and Jiangxi provinces has been given $54.00 worth of clothing and accessories. These contributions from the other side of the ocean have provided new clothing for these poor children and demonstrate love for the children of the orphanages from friends in the United States. With the cooperation of UNICEF, China Charity Federation will continue to help more children under this program.
